Hi guys- sorry I really haven't had much motivation to write...I guess waiting for my spaghetti-o's to cool is about as much incentive as any.
Things here are going okay...to pretty much everyone I know's surprise, I was not cast in the Rocky show at theatre downtown..I will have to admit, I was pretty shocked because I've never been turned down for ANY role there...I've been doing theatre there since I was 7 years old... oh well- it was bound to happen, I guess.
I've taken to immersing myself in work as I really don't have that many true friends that I can actually talk to anymore. Sure there are people that I consider friends...but I would never tell them that much going on in my life...and then there are the people that I talk to every so often...or not at all...I don't really consider anyone a "best friend" right now..perhaps its just hormones talking?
I turned in my benefits paperwork the other day, after staying in there about 30 minutes so the nice lady behind the counter could make sense of the mumbo-jumbo for me...yeah- it was pretty nice to not have to go to my parents for help...it doesn't make me feel quite as stupid. so, 15.65 cents out of my paycheck gets me health, vision, dental, life insurance, death and dismemberment...I guess that's pretty good.
I hurt my knee the other day doing spongebob and had to be taken out of character for the day...so I spent the rest of the day (after health services released me with ibuprofen and a wrap) working in the office doing menial tasks like cutting out grids and organizing things.
I'm fine, really- it was just a sprain and my knee doesn't even hurt anymore...which i'm glad for.
I've also taken to reading "Wicked". It's a pretty good book, and its helping me understand my character for the broadway song that a friend of mine and I are putting together. This is NOT a child's book, though...I have never heard Ozians use such horrid language before...but since I also curse like a sailor, I find it absolutely amusing. Its a pretty good book, and I actually like Elphaba: the wicked witch of the west...although I have yet to actually see her do anything evil.
I guess that's pretty much it...I'm spending most of my day today organizing things and cleaning up around the house...yay. more work. fun. joy. rapture.
